Question

Texts failing to send despite full signal

I have switched from O2 to iD in the last few days and initially everything was working well on my new iPhone 12 pro. In the last 24 hours, I can no longer send tests despite there being full signal. I can take calls (although they seem to be reasonably poor quality). When I go to send a text, the sending green bar moves across the screen, then doesn't complete until a couple of minutes later, it says failed to send. Some of these texts actually do deliver to the recipient multiple times but there is no way of telling this from my phone. I’ve turned the phone on and off multiple times and I’ve just tried taking my sim out ad leaving it for 10 minutes. Nothing has changed since doing this. Any advice is appreciated as I need to text for work.

Hi @LucyMary

Please can you try the following:

1)    Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
2)    Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
3)    Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct.
4)    If it is not correct, please enter the correct number
5)    Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
6)    Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”.

Let us know how you get on.
