Hi @Sazzababes95

With the exception of iPhones, all iD Mobile handsets sold with a pay monthly iD contract are unlocked at the point of purchase. In the case of iPhones, the handset will be unlocked six months after the contract started.

iD Mobile customers that have a phone from iD Mobile that was bought before May 2016, the phone is likely to be locked for use on the iD Mobile network.

iD Mobile customers that have a phone from iD Mobile that was bought after May 2016 the phone is not likely to be locked. If the phone was not bought from iD Mobile no action is required.

As with most networks, iD Mobile has an unlocking policy to protect us from any potential fraudulent activity.
We can unlock your phone if you’ve been with us for more than 6 months, and you don’t have an outstanding balance on your account.
Unlocking is free, and usually takes no more than 3-5 days.
If you’d like to have your iD Mobile phone unlocked, contact us here and we’ll get right on it.
