Data Sim for iPad Pro

Yesterday I purchased a data only sim on ID for my IPad Pro. It’s arrived and as I’ve gone to set up an account, it’s asking me for a text code, no texts will come through to my iPad so how do I activate this? I’ve bought it from carphone warehouse yesterday.

Have you tried to set this up on a phone first? 

If you try to set up on your phone then the sim should be active.

You can then insert it into your iPad.

Yes I have tried this, it says “sim resricted” I cannot use this sim at all.
