New phone and sim

Yesterday we bought a new phone for my wife and a monthly sim. She has been told on her new phone that she is good to go, but the number on the phone is not her old one - as was promised in the shop (pac number provided) It is a number that cannot accept calls at the moment. Her old phone, along with her old number is still active. Advice please.

Is the issue still persistent?

If you've provided a PAC during the point of sale in one of the Carphone Warehouse stores, a port would be raised on the account. You'll still get a new iD number, but the old number should transfer over to this.

Can you confirm if this has been done now?
