New sim card no signal scarborough

I’m an iD mobile customer so when my Mum needed a new phone and network I put her on iD, she has no network coverage on her phone and to complicate matters she lives in Scarborough and I live in Leeds

The phone I bought her was unlocked, is there anything I can do other than change network providers?

Is your mum’s account under your name or her name? If its hers they will need her to make the contact.
