Question

PAC number not valid according to ID form

I have logged onto the ID website but the PAC form won’t accept the seven numbers I received from Vodafone. The number I received from Vodafone includes a # at the front but the form will not accept this symbol. I am double checking the number with Vodafone but wonder if there’s a problem with the iD end. I am at the start of the 30 day window. Please advise.

Hello @matthiaskurth,

Your PAC code would usually be 3 letters, followed by numbers.

It should not contain a # in there.

If you text the words PAC to the number 65075 you’ll be texted the PAC code then you can enter this by registering for the iD account and then clicking My Services > Keep your number.

Hi there @matthiaskurth

I don’t think any symbols should be part of a PAC (code), from memory.

It’s usually 3 letters and 6 letters.  If you’re in talks with Vodafone though, they should be able to spot what’s wrong and issue one correctly for you.

You can then register your current iD SIM (with it’s temporary number as it may be) and then provide us with your old number and PAC (code) once you have it there.
