Sim not working to unlocked iphone 6s

Hi, I've recently bought an iPhone 6s which we have had unlocked from EE. I’ve inserted the ID SIM and it’s stating not supported. I’ve checked with EE and they’ve confirmed the phone is fully unlocked. Do I need a new SIM or do i need to do anything different.
