Why is number porting taking so long?

Hi,
I requested to keep my old number through the ID app nearly a week ago. I provided my old number and the correct code from my previous phone provider. The number port has still not happened and the app is still saying porting in progress, with an estimation of it taking 2-3 days. It's been saying 2-3 days since I made the request 6 days ago.
How much longer will this take, or is there a problem with the porting?
