Getting in touch when I have no Mobile Number

Hi, I have a data only account, and wanted advice on whether this is still appropriate for my needs - but cannot register or chat to anyone at iD about it, as I need my Mobile Number in order to do so, and I don’t have one, as my Sim card doesn’t make calls! Any help gratefully received!

Hello @A W

Even a data only account has a mobile number, so you should have this on the paperwork that came with the data only SIM.

How do you pay for your data allowance?
You could try visiting a Carphone Warehouse store; they might be able to advise you in-store.

You can use another current number with the iD Live Chat service.

After providing your name, number and topic, just type “talk to a person” for an iD agent.

Live chat agents work between 9am - 8pm weekdays - good luck!

​​​As @andewhite has suggested, you can use another phone number when connecting to our Live Chat Team, the team will just ask another question for verification when you get through to an agent.
