How to keep my old number ( PAC not working)

Hi,

I have recently purchased a new iD contract to replace my old one.

The phone I wanted was not available as an upgrade for whatever reason.

Naturally, I would like to keep my old phone number, so I attempted to use a PAC code to do this. The iD service rejected the PAC on the grounds that it came from within the same network.

I am now stuck, is it possible for my code to be released, or to be issued with a new code?

Hi @Maram13,

Unfortunately, we will not be able to move the phone number from one iD Mobile account to another as PAC codes only work when moving from one network to another. If your number was on a different network then we can port this into your new plan.

To keep your number when choosing a new phone whilst staying with a network, you will need to choose the upgrade option rather than buying a new contract. If you would like to return your new purchase after seeing this, you can find information about that here.
