Sorted now
Hey
I have just joined ID and have exactly the same problem with RCS chat messages, have gone through all the procedures in the guidance you linked but still have the original ID number in RCS chat rather than my ported number.
Phone is Huawei p30 pro running latest update.
Any help with this problem would be great.
Cheers
Can I suggest turning off RCS for 48 hours, then turning it back on after. I’ve seen this work for other users. If it still doesn’t work after that, request replacement SIM or eSIM. Thanks.
Cheers will give turning it off for the weekend then see what's afoot.
Let me know how you get on. Thanks.
Just turned RCS chats back on, re booted phone and it's still the same original number rather than my ported number, I'm stumped now .
Thanks for feeding back how you got it to work. I’ll look to add this to our guide. Thanks.
I am still having the same problem
Hi
You’ve tried all the above, correct?
Have you tried turning off RCS for a few days and then back on?
Tom
Hi Tom
In the end I had to go to my local curry for a replacement sim before I inserted i turned the RCS chat off then inserted new sim & it worked
Glad that worked. Thanks!
Glad that worked. Thanks!
Wwasn't happy though as I had to drive to sort it out as would receive sim over weekend by post
I need help with this as well. Tried turning RCS chats off, switching off and removing SIM quite a few times. Shows ported number in Advanced settings of Google messages. Tried all advice Google gave.
I don't want to reset network settings or to factory settings if at all possible.
What can I do now?
Still shows number given by ID mobile in RCS chats but ported number in Advanced settings in Google mesaages.
Hi
Have you tried turning RCS off and keeping it off for a few days?
