We know you can’t wait to jump into the iD Community and get started, but before you do, please check out our guidelines below. We’ve created them to keep everyone safe and sound.

Always write in English.

It’s a big world out there, with thousands of different languages being written and spoken. We love them all, but please always post in English when you’re in the iD Community. It just helps avoid any confusion.

Don’t post anything that could cause offence.

We’re determined to keep the iD Community free from offensive, abusive, or threatening messages. So please don’t swear or post racist, homophobic, sexist, or pornographic content. Also, please don’t disrespect someone’s social status, religion, political views, or illness or impairment (mental or physical). And don’t post links to sites that mention illegal software or display pornographic content or other objectionable material.

Don’t post private information.

You shouldn’t post anything that you wouldn’t like to be made public. So, avoid giving out any private information like your phone number, email address, home address etc. Remember, this is a public community - anyone can see your posts.

Be careful when you follow someone's advice.

If you decide to follow another user’s advice, take care. It might not always solve your issue and may not even be the correct information (if you do spot something you think might not be right, please let us know).

Don’t spam, troll, or mislead.

Don’t be that person. Don’t post spam or indulge in exercise spamming (sending the same message a repeated number of times). Don’t troll (that’s posting content in a bid to create or stir arguments), and don’t deliberately provide incorrect or misleading information regarding us, our products, and services. Why would anyone do that, right?

Don’t advertise.

Sorry, but we’ll delete any posts that advertise products and/or services. Basically, you can say that you’re awesome, but you can’t say that you’re selling something awesome.

Grow up.

You need to be 13 years or over to use the iD Community. And if you’re under the age of 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. We reserve the right to check your age – you should, too.

Read our terms and conditions.

If you’d like a more in-depth look at everything you can and can’t do on the iD Community, there’s only one thing for it. Spend a few minutes reading the iD Community terms and conditions. It’s all there.

On Behalf of the iD Community team, thanks for reading and we hope you enjoy being apart of our Community.
