Issues using Phone abroad

Using phone first time abroad and was told it was able to be used but my son can't use his phone data texts nothing working and can't connect to wifi either. What do i do?

To use the phone abroad, you'll need to ensure roaming is switched on both on the handset and in your app.
If both are on and you are still having issues, the Access Point Name (APN) settings on the handset may need updating.
