If there is no data service, your daughter will need to check the data roaming setting is activated on her phone and that she also has the correct APN settings.

Let us know if she still has problems and what phone she is using. If it's an iPhone, resetting the network settings may be required.

thank you for help. She has tried quite a lot of things as suggested by IF but this may be what she needs to do We really miss face timing her when she is away so fingers crossed Yes it is an iPhone 6 Her friends with other UK networks are fine. We have all

Hi Julian. Once she is registered to a network, there should be no need to manually search for a network, Movistar is a roaming partner so should work well.
In Settings> Reset> Reset network settings.
This will clear out any stored WiFi networks but should also reset the APN settings correctly.

No luck with the reset. Still no 3G but phone and text fine. She has tried most things. Could it be a sim problem? All getting a bit desperate.
