Carrying over my old number

Hi

i have recently used my pac number to carry over my old mobile number. I’d mobile said it had all been changed over however, when I text and FaceTime it’s my new number that is appearing.

 

any help on how to sort this would be great!

Hi @Peter2020,

We’re sorry to hear that this is happening. I might be due to the Apple phone settings not updating automatically after the number port. Please can you try the below settings to see if this helps?

1)    Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
2)    Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
3)    Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct. 
4)    If it is not correct, please enter the correct number
5)    Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
6)    Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”.
