I recently sold my iPhone 5S on an online shopping website, when the phone arrived to the customers house the customer told me the sim that she put in wasn't supported. Which is strange as on the USWITCH website it says 'In the case of iPhones, the handset will be unlocked six months after the contract started.' The new owner has tried a Virgin sim but this doesn't work and before selling I tried a Vodafone sim and it worked. Does anyone have an ideas on what to do?

Hello @izzylouise,

Welcome to the iD community and sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

You mentioned you put a Vodafone SIM in this and this worked fine, which to me seems like the phone is unlocked.

Is the customer using a UK network SIM in the device?

Were you using iD Mobile on this handset?

Mohammed

EDIT: I've moved your topic to the Ask a question section of our community.

Hello @Mohammed,

The customer has now bought an iD sim so hopefully it should work. Before selling the phone I used an iD sim on the iPhone.

Hello @izzylouise,

If you've used a Vodafone SIM in this and it's worked, it doesn't sound like this would be locked.

If you have any further issues, let us know here.

Please help me unlock my phone.

Hi @Savannah08,

Is it locked to the iD network or a another network? What’s the make and model of the phone?
