I have a broken Apple iPhone, I want to put the SIM card into a spare Samsung phone that I have. I get a "network locked SIM card" message.

How do I unlock the SIM card?

thanks

Hi JimGee, this sounds like your phone is locked and will not accept a SIM from a different network.

A locked SIM would request a PIN or PUK code.

You may be able to contact the network that you previously used the phone with to arrange for this to be unlocked.

thanks for the reply Phil.

it is the sim card that is locked not the phone. I've put the a different sim card into the phone and it worked fine.

id say that they don't lock sim cards apart from Apple phones, which is where the first sim card came from.

thanks

Hi JimGee.
Did you try a different iD SIM in the phone?

If you used a different network SIM, this would mean the phone allows that network but could be locked to other networks.

Are you able to test your iD SIM in any other phone?

Did you get your Samsung phone from iD Mobile?
