I have noticed that I don't receive messages sent by friends or family to my iphone however I do receive these messages on an ipod or ipad. This can be very frustrating when people need to contact me in a hurry. There are at least two people whose texts I don't receive.
Also, whilst in Spain on the 16 May at 08.11 I sent a text to a friend also in Spain and it was not received by our friend until Thursday evening. It caused a lot of problems as it was changing an appointment so very inconvenient.
Hi @Sheila Mitchell ,
We're sorry to hear this. The fault may be caused by the iMessage feature within your phone. Can you try the following to see if this helps?
1) Try turning off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
2) then restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
3) tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct.
4) If it is not correct, please enter the correct number)
5) then turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
6) go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”
