I want to unlock a mobile phone that was gave to my son . It’s locked to ID mobile . How do I do this ?

If the person who owned it before you Son could get in touch with us, we can put through an unlock request on the iPhone for them.

Unfortunately will the person who gave it to my son was someone who we cannot speak to anymore due to domestic violence - and I’m not sure but I think he bought it from someone. I was told the actual company who the phone is locked to - has to unlock the phone ????

Hello @Jem1984,

 

The unlock request would only be raised on an account through iD Mobile. 

You will need to purchase a contract(30-day) or PAYG SIM and use the SIM we can then raise a request to see if this can be unlocked. In some cases 6-months of usage is required.
