I have recently upgraded with I’d and would like to pass my old iPhone to my wife but the phone requires unlocking

All the iPhones we have sold after 2017 are unlocked to all UK networks. Is the iPhone you are passing on to your wife purcahsed before then?

yes it was and won’t work with my wife’s SIM card. Thank for reply
