Changed phone, now emergancy calls only

Down graded my daughters phone from a galaxy s8 to a simple calls and text unlocked phone, phine is brand new and works fine but the sim doesnt seem to work as its only showing emergancy calls only at all times.

Hi @LazyoldD,

We’re sorry to hear that; has the phone got access to 3G/4G networks? If the phone only uses 2G networks and below, then our SIM card will not work inside of it I’m afraid.

Hi, can you recomend a way to move forward with this issue, my daughter was groomed hence why she now only has a 2g phone! I am trying to restrict the access to the internet.

That’s terrible to hear @LazyoldD 

iD Mobile isn’t compatible with 2G phones so if the only phone you are able to entrust her with (for good reason) is a 2G one then we’d not be able to provide service to yourselves as needed.

If you contact our Live Chat Team they should be able to cancel the account as need be.  Or alternatively we could message you privately here if you’d prefer to have the account closed that way?
