Just changed to Nokia 1 and no contacts, data or apps I was using have tranferred. Advice please??

There are various tools (assuming that your old phone was Android powered) and tutorial online that could have you with it. The easiest way in my opinion is to back up everything to your Google account and follow this tutorial here but you can also use an app that can transfer apps and files over WiFi direct, I personally use one made by Xiaomi which you can download here.
