My partner recently purchased a new phone. We received no documentation with the phone or receipts that tell us the number. In order to activate the sim to find out the number, we need to register for Id mobile, which we need the number for.
Is there any way to find out the number other than this? We've tried checking within the phone itself and it just states its unknown and the chat bot was incredibly unhelpful.

A new phone from iD is supplied with a new SIM card, which will already have been activated.
Pop your new SIM in your new phone - you should get the number once you connect to the iD mobile network.

Yeah we've attempted to do that however it's not bringing anything up and saying the number is unknown and we're unable to text etc on it.Â

Sounds like it’s no registered on the iD network.
Get it sorted using the online chat - visit the https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat page.
You can also chat to iD Mobile using facebook or Twitter.
Just remember that iD agents work between 9am - 8pm weekdays and 9am - 6pm weekends. Outside these times you’ll get an automated reply.
