I paid for 50GB data, but only got 30GB allowance?

Hi, recently i upgraded and my contract is 50GB and unlimited min/text. 

I checked on the ID app, and it says I have 28GB and the total for this month is 28GB? 

Im really confused.

 

Also how long does it take for the sim to be active

Hello @tamanna2099,

This is due to a pro-rata allowance being provided.

What’s happened is as you upgraded partway in the month, just over half way (as half of 50GB is 25GB) you received that many days worth of line rental.

You’ll see this on your next bill where you get a credit for that many days line rental from the old rate and then re-billed at the new rate. 

 

In regards to the replacement SIM, you need to activate this via the app or on https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/your-sim-card

Once activated it should be done within an hour.

You can restart for this to take effect.
