New payg sim, no top-up added

hi

I am having same issue as described here

 

New payg sim with £20 unlimited bundle bought from CarphoneWarehouse.

Sim appears to have been activated, as can take calls, but no credit has been added. 

 

What do I need to do to be able to make calls from the new payg sim?

Any help appreciated.
