Dear support,

I currently hold an account with iD. I would like my son to switch from his current provider and purchase a deal from iD.

Do I need to buy a new iD sim for him?

I understand the Sim comes with a tel number. If we use the PAC to switch with his current phone number, does this mean the number coming from the iD sim will be replaced by his current number?

Thank you

Hi @Frederic,

You will need to buy a second SIM card with its own plan for him.

The SIM would have it’s own number, but if you ask his current network for a PAC code and give it to us, we can swap the new number given with the SIM from us and replace it with the number of his existing plan.

Does that make sense?

It does make perfect sense. Thank you very much.

No worries @Frederic!

Take care, and please let us know if you need anything else.

Hi, actually yes, I would need another piece of advice. When I transfer my son's (11yro) account to iD, do I need to input his name and email address or should it be mine?

If I need to use mine, will it interfere with my existing iD account.

Thank you

Fred

@Frederic,

I would advise to put this in your name if you have purchased it.

It won’t affect your current iD Mobile account as you’ll need to register under a different email address.
