I’m trying to update my plan and when I go through to pay, it won’t accept my card and I can’t get any further

From my understanding a reason why this transaction fails is a data mismatch.

Is the name and address on the your iD account EXACTLY the same as for your bank card/account?

Also, being as you’re ordering online, make sure that you have pop-ups enabled. As part of the transaction they take a temporary 1p payment to verify the account, so are you seeing this too?

Should none of the above be the cause and you’re still having problems, I’d trying contacting their Live Chat.

As ​@Daz_S has advised, the details will need to match exactly but this could also be a settings/browser issue. 

If pop ups are already disabled, please try another browser and delete Cache/Cookies.
