Cancel contract and transfer number to new sim

I need to cancel my ID contract I am currently paying and transfer my number across to a new ID sim I have just purchased to put in my new phone. How do I do this? I have only found ways to do a transfer to a different company and have no idea how to cancel my excising contract so I don’t pay both at the same time.

Unfortunately it is not possible to transfer your number within the same network. In order to get your number transferred to your new contract you would need to transfer it to a different network to a Pay as You Go Sim Card and then transfer back to iD Mobile on your new contract.
