changing to sim only from a contract

my 24 month contract ran out and instead of updating through ID I am buying a phone outright from apple and would like to switch to the 7 pound a month Sim Only deal through ID and cancel my current plan while keeping my number. The ID website doesn't state how to do this only how to move network or cancel your current contract.

Hi Grace, I’ve just done the same thing.  If you go to your upgrade options and view them all, you should find an option for a Sim only deal.  Click on it and pick the one you want.  You will keep your number and they will send you a new card.  Hope that helps.  Cheers.

Hi Grace,

Here’s how you can do it online or with your app:

  • Log in to your app or My Account.
  • Go to the 'My Account' page (this can be found in the app by clicking the top left menu button).
  • Go to ‘My Plan’, then ‘Change my plan’.
  • Choose a new plan from the ones listed, and 'confirm'. 

We'll then process your plan change in 30 minutes or so.
