Do I need to stop using my old sim now i have upgraded?

hi, 

I upgraded my plan from 6pounds (2g) to 8g 8 pounds on 30/09/2020, and got my new sim today… I would want to know if I activate the new sim, does it mean I will have to change my number as well? Or will I still be using my old number? 

Secondly, if at all the upgrade has been made, it should be 8g and should still be in tact because I only started using it yesterday. But i have 4g and saying I have used 1.7g already… so it’s not clear whether it’s the old plan or new plan. 

Kindly advise

Hi @Somtochukwu, you can carry on using your old SIM, that’s fine! Your number won’t change as long as you definitely placed an upgrade order. Your data allowance will be calculated pro-rata. If it’s not showing the full allowance just yet, it’s because you upgraded part-way through your monthly billing cycle. Next month, your full data allowance should be showing. If not, just give us a shout here and we’ll look into it for you.
