My 13 yr old daugher has an ID mobile.the contract is in my name and she is due for upgrade.
I have seen a deal and thinking of ordering it but i want to keep it until xmas as her present. She knows that she is getting it as this was what she asked for, so i dont mind if she gets texts etc.
But im worried about the month delay between receiving phone and turning it on and activating it. Will this cause problems for the phone and transferring her number on the day? Can she contine to use her old mobile for the next month?
Any advice around best timeframes would be welcome.

I understand that you would like to purchase a phone as an upgrade for your current SIM card. In this case everything will be fine if you wait a month to swap SIM card over. Just let your daughter use her old phone until Christmas and when this important day of the year comes just remove SIM card from old phone and insert in the new one.
