Had a message come up saying i'm eligable to upgrade
I've selected Sim only
I received the Sim and put it in my phone
I gave the serial number of the new sim to someone at customer services as I wanted to keep my old number
Was told to switch phone off and back on for this to take place
Still have the new number not old one.
Rang back ,was told by a different person that i can't keep my old number!
Asked for the manager to give me a call back, this was 5 hours ago and no one has rung me back...

That is disappointing to hear.
Did you process this upgrade through your App/Online account? The reason being, is that it sounds like you have been signed up for a new plan and not an upgrade because an upgrade enables you to keep your existing number.

I should give an update
i spoke to someone at ID on the phone and they have been really helpful and sorted my move over to sim only.
for customer feedback I found better communication with U.K. based advisors rather than foreign ones
