I have changed plan to SIM only. I have kept my number.
But I have been sent a new SIM card. Do I need to insert it into my phone?
Thanks

We’d recommend getting that new SIM activated, you can find out about how to do this by clicking here.
If you require any further assistance, please do let us know and we’ll be happy to help.

Recommend?? Sorry but that is not a suitable answer.
Do I have to change the SIM card or not?
The current SIM works fine in the same phone with the same phone number.
Please advise

Hello
The answer I’m goingto provide isn’t any different from my colleagues.
You are not required to activate the new SIM, however, we do recommend activating this.
A new SIM is automatically sent with any upgrade order, just incase you’ve got a new handset that requires a different SIM size etc.
It’s not something you need to use if your current one is working.
The reason we recommend this is because the app may ask if you are using the new SIM and we have seen people activate their new SIM card months down the line when they:
This means they lose service until the new SIM is inserted (which isn’t always possible) or a replacement is sent out.
Hope that answers your question.

Mohammed,
I'm sorry but you haven't answered my question. I'm now more confused.
Let's keep it simple.
I've got same phone, same phone number.
Can I keep same SIM card in the phone?
Thanks
Frank
Hi there
If you have done an upgrade recently, then your old SIM should still work fine (unless you chose to activate the new SIM).
If you log in to your iD Mobile account using the App or the website you should see that you already have your new tariff you’ve selected in action already.
So yes, using the old SIM will be fine until you advise us through your iD Mobile App that you’re now using the new iD SIM (if one was sent).
