Sim not working

Hi all I've just upgraded my sim only contract this morning to a handset. The chap on the phone said it will come with a new sim card if I wish to use it if not I can carry on using the current one I have. So using the number as a form of contact for delivery tomorrow. The phone has been cut off and can no longer use it as received a text saying the new sim card will be activated within 24 hours... Why has this happened and can now no longer use that sim even thought was told I could carry on using it…

We’re very sorry to hear things havent’ gone as smoothly as either of us would have liked here @Perks87 

Generally speaking when doing an upgrade (to a contract or another SIM-only tariff) you would remain using the old SIM unless you had specified within your iD Mobile app that you were now using the new iD Mobile SIM that was sent.

Have you (since posting) received the new phone at least now and everything is running fine there?
