Upgrade from Sim Only

Hi does anyone know if I'll be credit checked when I upgrade my sim only to a handset on Friday as that's when I'm eligible for upgrade. I've been told 2 different things over the phone.

1. Yes, I will be credit checked as it's a new contract.

2. They will not credit check me but they will give me what phones they have a available for me based on my last 6 months payments.

I'm very confused all I want to do is see if I can upgrade to a Galaxy S10.

Thanks

Hi @sabram8690 and welcome to the iD Mobile Community here.

You would be subject to a credit check,

though if you’ve been making payments fine for the past 6 months then you’re more than likely to be considered.

Upgrade options should be available to you within the Upgrades page on our website, or through the iD Mobile App.

Hello @sabram8690,

This is incorrect and I’ve highlighted the part which is wrong.

Upgrades do not require a credit check.

New connections do.

We’re sorry for the misunderstanding this may have caused.

Just says I'm eligible on 7/2/20 but didn't think you do credit checks unless it's new connection
