I’m visiting the UK from Australia in September. I’d like to have an IDMobile SIM waiting for me when I arrive at my brother’s place, but I see that a credit check is performed when I sign up. Am I likely to fail that check, given that my current address and credit card is registered outside the UK? If I can’t sign up online before I get there, can I visit a store and get a SIM after I arrive?

I suggest choosing a pay-as-you-go (PAYG) SIM plan.
No credit check required for iD Mobile PAYG plans.
If you add a recurring payment method to your iD My Account, for your PAYG plan, it’s effectively the same as a pay monthly plan.
