hi @Will  I got the handset from O2 in 2016, I have yet to try the sim card from another network. This issue has happened to me before and lasted 2 entire months, it then fixed itself, but now the issue has came back.

@Kevin  The sim works on other phones, but not my Samsung galaxy. However I should note that my phone detects the sim, I am able to use WiFi calling on ID. Yes I do have the same problems outside of my postcode. Thanks Kevin for responding

Hi @ReallyStressful, how many bars of signal are showing? Is it just calls that are effected, or is it data and messages too?   Will Hi will, I'm getting around 1-2bars, sometimes no signal. Also this affects my calls, messages and data which I am not able to use, thank you for replying.

I'm having exactly the problem the author of the thread is having, tried live chat they said it was a phone problem. Got my phone checked out its fine. This issue fixed itself a few weeks ago, however it is restarting... Can anyone here help?

I had the same problem from April to June, it randomly fixed itself in July. However, it seems like this issue is starting again... What phone model are you using?

No mobile service on new LG V30 mobile with existing SIM card/account

Hello @Blinkertoon,   The LG V30 is on our list of compatible phones https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/approved-handsets The issue could be due to one  of 2 reasons.   The phones firmware (due to it originally being from AT&T, outside of the UK I’m guessing?) preventing compatibility The SIM is faulty.   Can you just test the iD SIM that you’re using in the V30, in other phones and confirm if iD is picked up fine? If so, the issue is a handset compatiblity problem due to firmware. If this doesn’t work, then try the iD SIM in other devices also. If it still doesn’t work, then the issue is due to the SIM being faulty and we can get a replacement SIM sent out.   Mohammed Could this also be my issue, i bought an s7 edge from o2 and am unable to make calls n texts through sms. If so how would i fix the firmware issue? ***UPDATE*** Seems to be working now, very strange…

No mobile service on new LG V30 mobile with existing SIM card/account

I think I may have an reason as to why this is happening, read it on a few other forums. I’m pretty sure my phone was bought from 02 (hand down), as yours is bought from AT&T they may be locked to the old network? If it was locked we won’t be able to use iD, but it doesnt explain why I can make calls through wifi.  Can you use wifi calling? Don’t think I could do Wi-Fi calling. Either way, in my case, in theory it is already unlocked - and sure when I have had locked phones in the past, it’s pretty obvious (and certainly not in this case). Yeah its probably a fault on iD’s end sadly...

I am also having this issue, except my phone is not new. My phone tells me my APN is not entered correctly, but I am using the default APN that i cannot delete or edit. Can’t make calls or texts, im guessing something is happening on the iD side maybe? Or maybe our phones are faulty…   Nice to know we’re not alone - but when our other LG phone on ID is working fine in the same location... Sounds quite like my situation, samsung phone other android phones in the house working phone with iD. Not been able to find a solution yet.

I have too, this is now a joke havent had proper signal for a week. Coverage checker is broken, staff dont even reply! so fustrating!

Poor reception

Hi @ben212 @JB161616  Welcome to the community  Have you popped your postcode into our Coverage Checker: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/uk-coverage-checker  That should keep you up to date on any ongoing or known issues in your area. If you have in fact done that and it's stating some problems were only recently fixed, then it could be that things haven't completely gone back to normal yet after any such work. As you were receiving great reception, we should expect it won't be too long until things are all back to normal and will continue that way from there. Have you tried the SIM in another phone?  Thanks  Pearl   Coverage in my area is good on the map, however I am not getting any signal and am having to depend on Wifi calling otherwise i get ‘emergency calls only’. Also in london btw.

No signal, so want to end contract & return phone

My phone is saying no service and emergency calls  only. this has been for two months now. If I want to END MY CONTRACT  how do I do it, I am paying for very bad service. I will never use I.D. again. I’m having the same issues right now too, my SIM only gets recognized when I turn on Wifi-Calling  . When i turn Wifi-Calling off, i get ‘emergency calls only’ and I am unable to register on the iD network.

Emergency calls only, not registered to network????

On the day that this occured (a week ago) i restarted my phone multiple times however that did not fix the issue. I tried  everything listed on websites and youtube videos. I then got exhausted of trying to fix it and gave up. The next morning I woke up and it started to work fine???A really strange thing happened today aswell (1 week exactly from that incident) my phone started bugging out the same, saying ‘Emergency calls only’ , however all I needed to do was restart my phone and it fixed itself. It is really peculiar, I will let you know if anything like this happens again.
