upgrade my plan to two year contract instead of one

If you are still within your one year contract then you can’t do what you’re attempting to do… That would be a downgrade, not upgrade as the price is lower than you contractually agreed to. That doesn’t make sense though, it’s not a downgrade as it’s the same plan just extended from 1 year to 2 years: clearly that’s an upgrade?

Like I said @ysnhh, the iD mobile app is WRONG - you can safely ignore the warning in the app. A word of warning; if paying by direct debit, don’t manually make a payment, whatever the app tells you - doing so will result in an overpayment. The iD app developers really need to get the app working properly for everyone - you’re not the first person to have this problem. Right, so does this mean next month’s payment will not be taken??

So @ysnhh, have you got a pay monthly account paid via a direct debit? If you do, then ignore the app - the app is wrong. Good luck. Yes I’ve got monthly set up in app through direct debit but an extra month’s payment was taken and I’m still being asked to pay next month's bill despite two payments being taken for a single month.

Anyway, good luck.   Hi can someone help with this please? An extra month’s payment was taken out of my account and I’m still being told that I need to pay next month’s bill!

Hello @ysnhh, Yeah, it’s definitely an error - especially if you pay by direct debit. This issue has been around for sometime, but doesn’t seem to affect all customers. If you pay by DD, you can safely ignore the app message. Your account will be in credit now, but you can ask the Live Chat team for a refund, or wait until an iD advisor replies to your question. Anyway, good luck. I can’t access the live chat and so need help on here ASAP.

Spotify not working on iDmobile network

Hello @ysnhh    We are sorry to hear about the difficulties you are having,  Have you tried to uninstall the app and then reinstall again, to see if this helps?   Michelle  iD Mobile  Hi, it’s not app related as it works fine on WiFi, in fact Spotify support just got back to me and said that they block connections to Spotify if there are too many users on a single IP so it appears that IDMobile is congested at the moment. How can I change the IP?

Just tested Live chat myself and it’s working for me: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat     Try using a different device or wait for an ID Mobile staff member to respond here. Hmm that is strange, I am on Windows whilst I noticed you were on Mac maybe that’s the issue.

Sim nowhere to be seen, payment taken and plan started!

Looks as though the SIM has been lost in the post. 😔   ID Mobile will need to arrange a replacement SIM to be sent out to you. You can request one via live chat on the link below but it appears to be down at the moment. https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat   So wait for a member of staff to reply to your post or wait until live chat is back online and speak to a live chat agent and request a replacement SIM. Right I see, I shall wait for the live chat to resume. Thanks!

Unable to access Live Chat

It’s responding for me but it does take several seconds before anything happens. I then get the following:     Not good! 😔 Given how difficult it already is to manage basic account things such as payment plan changes and cancellations - the single most basic things -  ID really needs to get it together on this front, it truly should not be this difficult to run a basic chat service.

How long have you had the 12 month sim only plan? It is arriving soon, I purchased the 12 month plan but realised 24 month is cheaper long term. The SIM hasnt arrived yet

I tried to access the site specifically to see if I can make my account now that I purchased the contract but that error showed up and I’ve never logged in before.

Yea, I have encountered this issue many times and one way to reproduce it every single time is to click on the “Remember me” check box when logging in to the forums and then visit idmobile.co.uk.   You will get:   Only way to resolve the issue is to clear your browsers cache! 👍 Only problem with this is that I am still yet to receive my new sim and so naturally I do not have an account on the account site yet so I’m not sure why this is happening. I did in fact try a different browser and got the same error also I switched over to a friend’s WiFi and got the same error.
