RCS Messaging using old number

Hello!I am new to ID Mobile. I had my new sim which put in to my new Google Pixel 7. Then ported my number to ID from O2 via PAC code.Everything has ported fine apart from RCS (Google Chat) messaging. If this is turned on the message sends from my temp ID Mobile Number - So the recipient see that temp number and not the number ive ported over.Things I have tried to resolve the issue without success so far:Cleared Messages Cache Cleared Google Play Cache  Cleared Google Services Cache Turned messages off,  Turned phoned off, waited for 30 mins, turned both back on Used Google RCS De-register service and entered my phone number. I also contacted live chat who to be honest seemed rather confused and didn't understand and tried telling me RCS was chargeable and i would need to up my cap (although I'm on unlimited data and its a data service 🤷🏻)Any kind folk out there go any bright ideas to get it working? TIA

I get a “No SIM available” error periodically

Good afternoon, I recently got a new contract with iD mobile and a few days after I put the SIM in my iPhone 13 I got a “No SIM” message in the control centre. I asked for a new SIM but after a few days that doesn’t work either.Putting my phone into flight mode, resetting network settings and restarting it doesn’t fix the issue, and the only way I can get it to work is by ejecting the SIM tray and putting it back in again. But even after I do that, it only works for a few hours and then I get the same message.Apart from this issue, I’ve had fine service and good signal.Does anyone know what the issue might be? Thanks in advance for any help and let me know if there’s anything I may need to elaborate on

Having trouble porting my old number

Recently I switched to ID from three. When I received my new device I was also given a sim, that I tried to port my old phone number to using the id mobile website, using my PAC code. When I did so, my old sim stopped working, but the number hadn't transferred over to the new sim. The number was supposed to transfer on the 8th of March, but nothing had happened. In fact, it seemed like my phone could not even detect the new sim at all. Since then, I've used the live chat to get a replacement sim sent out, and I've received it. However, now I'm having trouble activating the new sim because when I try to input my old number (which should have been ported over and should now be my ID mobile phone number), it says that it doesn't match ID mobiles records. Please help

I'm feeling completely lost!

I registered with iD Mobile last night as the Plusnet Sim-only mobile service is very sadly closing and iD Mobile is a Which Best Buy, but I now feel completely lost! I have questions to ask about my new account, but I can’t phone anyone or contact anyone via Twitter or the app and now feel abandoned. I set up a direct debit and requested my PAC from Plusnet, but now feel stranded as I don’t know what happens next. I would feel more confident if I could at least access my account or an app, but neither of them are currently available… I am beginning to wonder whether I should have opted for one of the Big Names in the industry, but iD Mobile looked like what I was looking for. I read that there is lots of online support available, but I’ve yet to find it!Can someone please reassure me that I will be supported and will eventually have an account to access as I currently feel that I might have made a mistake? Thank you!

Had Phone + Sim Contract with ID for 2 years, purchased a new SIM only contract, how to keep number?

Hi I’ve been on a contract with ID Mobile for 2 years for a phone plan and for paying for an iPhone 12.My contract is coming to an end next month so I’d like to change over to a SIM only plan to save some money.Today I purchased a Sim only contract (25GB unlim sms+calls), I understand about PAC code usage for when swapping between networks, but was wondering is there a different way for transferring my existing phone number to my new SIM only plan as both are under ID Mobile? Thanks

I have just joined iD Mobile and having big coverage issues, despite there being 4G in my area. I tried using the Live Chat to address this issue but it gets me nowhere. I would like to speak to a person on the phone, as I will have to move networks if I can’t get this resolved. Please can you give me a telephone number to call? Thanks Laura

very slow mobile internet in east hunsbury, northampton

My mobile data has been agonizingly slow for about 4 or 5 days. Less than half a Mb. Is there knowledge of this problem and will it be fixed? Can someone advise me please? Definitely not my phone as i have 3 computers and an ipad. They are all slow.

phone calls from spain

Can't phone a landline from Spain, my roaming is turned on , when I phone I get a message saying this number is not assigned to a client, tried live chat but don't seem to be able to speak to a human only useless chat bots any ideas

cant register on ID mobile

I am new to id mobile, my new phone has my old number already transferred.  To register with id mobile I put in my own transferred number but it didn't know that (although that's the number on my phone) so I tried to register with the phones original number but it then sends the 8 digit pin to that number . Obviously I don't have that number so I can't retrieve the PIN as I don't have that number,  any idea?

I am not receiving one time password SMS messages from my Polish bank. I have contacted them and their records show the message was sent and received by my phone operator but not forwarded on to me.

OTP vreification code not received from Banks after porting my number in

Hi,I am frustrated by the fact I am not be able to receive verification code / OTP from banks, however, I can get normal SMS from individuals or text questionnaires, for example from Currys. Handset: Google Pixel 8 proTimeline:8th April 2024Porting number was scheduled on 8th April, and it is completed at mid-day. Having tested immediately, it works all good as treat, I had one Bank app migrated with OTP code received. So, I thought it was excellent, and decided to do the rest migration in the evening after work.  In the evening, about 5 or 6pm, the SMS messaging service became weird when I tried to migrated other bank apps over. I have no longer received OTP code at all. Then, I found if my family text me, the SMS will be landed onto my old phone with the old service provider, if I sent SMS to my family, they will see the SMS from my iD temp number, not the number being ported in! all messed up!9th April 2024Spent a lot of time on the Chat with iD support people, gone through all kind

Hello, I switched to idMobile as the contract stated it included 5G but I never get 5G réception even Ina 5G area. My phone is definitely 5G ready as I was able to access 5G on it with my previous sim provider, so why can't I access 5G with idMobile?

April 2024 - Mobile app and My Account outage

Good evening.The last few days have seen an inability for iD customers to use their online accounts.  This has affected usage via the web but also the “new” app.Whilst everyone has been impacted, this unplanned outage seems to have hit new customers hardest.  But the fallout has also been hurting existing customers and in various ways.I consider myself lucky.  Just before the outage kicked-in, I was able to action an upgrade, not that I can log-in to check specifics or see details.  Thankfully iD’s emails have been flowing at least.This Community forum has seen iD staff or associates doing a great - albeit difficult - job as always.  But where are formal comms?  Relying on Webchat support is “okay” but seemingly doesn’t always work.Anyone else feel this is a Change Management nightmare?  Bad comms?  No urgency?  The sense of being cut off?  And WHO is really listening?I generally enjoy being an iD customer but what I’ve seen and heard in recent days is painful.  I recall that years ago

Sizeable Charges within Coolling Off Period?

Hi. I’m trying to cancel my Sim Only contract (ordered online) well within the 30 day cooling off period. I’ve tried to do this a couple of times via Live Chat but getting quoted a sizeable cost for doing this. It doesn’t seem to make sense. I haven’t actually received the SIM yet (ordered 3 days ago) so I know it has not been used. No idea how to escalate this to get this resolved so was hoping someone could advise/help.

Bill paid, app won’t allow a DD to be set up as surprise surprise I get a pop up saying “oops something went wrong, please try again” can’t call, can’t text and can’t go online. Does anyone know how to make this second rate app/network actually work?

Ported number from tesco mobile is unassociated with Sim

Hi there,  Ive had a nightmare setting up my new contract with ID and porting my old number over. It ported on the date expected and a confirmation text received from ID to say it’s complete however I can’t sent text messages. When I looked into it, it seems the number I ported over to this contract is unassociated with the sim and therefore I can’t select it for iMessage nor activate it in my Apple ID account.  I’ve tried everything I can find online. Is there anyone that can help please? Really want to get this sorted as I can’t use my phone if I’m not connected to the internet.
