Can't send STOP message to 85 number

I'm getting messages that I have presumably signed up to at some point that are charging me £4.50 a pop when I receive them. I'm trying to reply STOP to 85088 and I get an error 23 code. I've got ~£10 left on my limit this month so unless the amount it's trying to bill me for is over that, I presume the issue is that iD haven't yet approved texts to 85 numbers on their network?
