sim to handset upgrade

Can I upgrade to any handset on Friday when my upgrade from SIM only to handset is due, I'm reading people say they can upgrade to certain handsets but not the S10+ etc, my last 6 monthly payments have been on time.

Upgrade from Sim Only

Hi does anyone know if I'll be credit checked when I upgrade my sim only to a handset on Friday as that's when I'm eligible for upgrade. I've been told 2 different things over the phone. 1. Yes, I will be credit checked as it's a new contract. 2. They will not credit check me but they will give me what phones they have a available for me based on my last 6 months payments. I'm very confused all I want to do is see if I can upgrade to a Galaxy S10. Thanks
