Phone gone mad

So last night I downloaded a particular app for the first time.   Could be coincidence but… Noticed as I was going sleep that I wasnt connected to my WiFi, though in my bedroom it can be hit and miss. Put my phone on charge and at 4am unplugged it as it was fully charged. Got up at 6am and it was on 80% Got work at 7.30, 17% On charge all day, hovered between 13 and 17%. Changed battery, no effect. Cannot log onto my WiFi, keeps saying ‘cannot connect’ and ‘incorrect password’ even though I’m entering the correct one.  Back of phone red hot. Phone dipped to 2% at 4.30pm, been on charge 6 hours, only on 26%.  Anyone any ideas before I launch it at the wall??  Thanks in advance

lost phone

Long story short, Carphone Warehouse have lost my iPhone 6s Plus after I sent it in for a repair. I've been offered a £349 voucher to spend on a new phone from Carphone Warehouse, but they canf offer me like for like and as I like the Plus phones (larger ones), I'm struggling as they dont offer the iPhone 7 plus either, and to buy the Iphone 8 plus itd involvecme paying out a load of money on top of the £349, which I dont want to do. In an ideal world I'd settle for a like for like, a 6s Plus, failing me getting a satisfactory outcome, do I have grounds to avoid my contract as cant supply me with either a like for like or a phone that's acceptable. Thanks in advance
