View your plans 'header' - add aliasesNew

Not reporting an issue, just offering feedback.. I like the new mobile and web apps!I like the fact I can add my family’s plans so I can help keep an eye on things for everyone.  Given I work in IT, it seemingly comes with the territory!But adding some names or aliases to the plans area would be useful.  At the moment, they’re all ‘me’…Even being able to amend the displayed name would be useful, e.g. Jonty Soper #2 = Daughter.Just an idea, unless it has already been flagged.  I did check but may have missed it.Jonty.

April 2024 - Mobile app and My Account outage

Good evening.The last few days have seen an inability for iD customers to use their online accounts.  This has affected usage via the web but also the “new” app.Whilst everyone has been impacted, this unplanned outage seems to have hit new customers hardest.  But the fallout has also been hurting existing customers and in various ways.I consider myself lucky.  Just before the outage kicked-in, I was able to action an upgrade, not that I can log-in to check specifics or see details.  Thankfully iD’s emails have been flowing at least.This Community forum has seen iD staff or associates doing a great - albeit difficult - job as always.  But where are formal comms?  Relying on Webchat support is “okay” but seemingly doesn’t always work.Anyone else feel this is a Change Management nightmare?  Bad comms?  No urgency?  The sense of being cut off?  And WHO is really listening?I generally enjoy being an iD customer but what I’ve seen and heard in recent days is painful.  I recall that years ago

iD Community response emails

Not a problem, just an observation.Every time I get a response to a subscribed thread, the email alert always starts with, “Good news!  Gillarms has commented on your topic...”.  The subject is always tailored, “Someone’s replied on your topic…”To be picky, the topics aren’t even mine but at least I get the email nudge 😀 But anyone else getting the same?  I only noticed the other day.Gillarms is a busy fellow! 🤣Jonty.

SIM only to new contract - latest bill correct?

Good evening.Probably one for the iD staff to confirm or clarify, but if anyone else knows.  I’m just curious, that’s all.So, recently switched from a SIM only setup to a new device and service on contract.  This effectively saw me move from £8 p/m to £22 p/m.  All’s good here and it was the most-effective way to get all what I wanted - thank you iD!I’ve received my latest/new bill and I’m just confused.  I know that costs and charges are usually billed in advance - and here’s where I’m probably missing something…16th day of each month is my ‘day’.  Ordered my new setup on 2nd June and all associated data and things seem to have been put into effect as of that date.  My latest (new) bill has credited me for - I guess - what was my old SIM only stuff from 2nd - 15th June.  That I can understand.  But my new charges are not 2nd - 15th June, rather 2nd June - 15th July.  July?  I would have assumed ‘June’ but bill me advance charges or something?  Even writing this is confusing me, LOL  ;

Voicemail notification alert

Afternoon all.Does the iD mobile network issue voicemail alert notifications when a message is left?I ported over to iD from EE a good few months ago and it only recently became apparent that when I receive a voicemail my phone (Android) doesn’t notify me.  A follow-up chat session today saw an agent tell me iD do not have this alert service.  Is this true?SMS text alerts work fine if I enable this.  It’s not a problem per se, just a bit odd and unexpected.  A chat session yesterday saw an agent create a ticket for me to have the porting-in checked, and swiftly closed as the port work was deemed all good.  I had a ticket raised after reading another forum post with the same problem, where someone from iD had suggested it.Just curious.  I don’t get many calls so not many messages, so it’s not a problem as such.Jonty.
