Not receiving security code when trying to upgrade to new sim card

Hi,

 

I have just received a new sim card as I am upgrading my plan but am not receiving my security code via email or text to activate the new sim card.

Hello @Doctor7501,

I had a similar problem recently when trying to register for a My iD account.

There was a problem with the iD system, which is supposed to send out the SMS with the security code.

I think your best bet is the iD Live Chat service at:

https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat 

The system has iD agents 9am to 8pm Mon-Fri and 9am to 6pm weekends.

The annoying chat-bot works 24/7, so you need to type “talk to a person” to  bypass the chat-bot - otherwise wait for an iD employee to send you a private message here in the community.

Hello @Doctor7501,

You can carry on using your old SIM for the time-being as the new SIM would be a spare sent and not something you have to activate.

If you did need to activate it though due to the old one being lost etc, please let us know.
