I want to change to a less data plan to save money as I am using my WiFi now. Why is it not letting me do this?

If you’re on a 12 or 24-month contract, you’ll need to see out the full length of it under the terms/plan/monthly cost you agreed to when signing up.
Once you’ve seen out your contract, you’ll be able to switch to a lower plan, but not until such a time.
