Unable to connect to iD Mobile


I have installed the new iOS app and successfully completed the re-registration process, but the app reports “Unable to connect to iD Mobile” whenever I attempt to use it.

Is anyone else experiencing the same?

I uninstalled the app and deleted app data, then did a fresh app install. I authenticated successfully, but then got “Oops something went wrong”.

I am running iOS 17.4.

Total shambles. How can anyone roll out an app which does not work or with so little guidance and a useless bit of information saying they are overloaded. I’ve no idea whether I have one account or two now. Almost requested a PAC code this morning to switch suppliers. Life is too short to have my time stolen like this for someone else’s convenience. You have gone from a working app to a mess.


I can’t get on my app either.  I’m switching over from O2 today (hopefully) and can’t seem to access my account on ID mobile as it tells me that my details are not registered but when i try to look on my app it tells me i am unable to connect to ID mobile.  Honestly switching providers should not be this hard!


What other company updates their app and then ask everyone to re-register ? !  What kind if amateur IT people do they employ ?  and then of course their servers continually time out as they are overloaded by customers.

You need to register to use the forums too so maybe we should have expected to need another account. Ridiculous, what other company requires multiple accounts to access all services?

I have tried the iOS app again this evening (v6.0.3) and to my amazement I can login and see my account details. For me at least this is working.

It started working for me, too. Finally! Hope everyone can access their accounts now. Thank you for helping.


Why iD Mobile?
