Hi. My son has a password setting to protect his phone but he has forgotten it and now can't unlock his phone. Is there any way to override it so he can access his phone?

Depends on the phone - what handset is your son using @Lisa-Marie Jackman

Okay @Lisa-Marie Jackman, if you Google “how to unlock Samsung Galaxy A12”, you should find a number of YouTube videos on how to unlock when you’ve forgotten the p/word.

You may lose all the data stored on the handset though, if you haven’t used the backup option in Android.

Good luck @Lisa-Marie Jackman.

Hey @Lisa-Marie Jackman,

Hope you were able to get this sorted.

As @andewhite suggested, I believe the only options for unlocking will be resetting the data but there may be a way to recover the password without deleting data.
