Number not transfered correctly

My old number has been transfered and I get calls to that number and texts but when I text people they receive it from a different number. Calls are fine just texts. Samsung phone. Can anyone help as the live chat bot is terrible

Hello @Linda22,

If you started using Messages by Google (with chat features turned ON), after you joined iD and with the number you didn’t want to keep, this might explain the issue.

For Android devices, I recommend reading the following online support topics by Google:

  1. Chat features by Google FAQ article
  2. How to turn chat features off article
