phone number not associated with the phone??

I’ve moved from vodaphone to ID a month go and transferred my number. 
I have just received a message saying ‘this number is registered to Apple ID but is not associated with this phone. You can keep using the number for iMessage and face time until it expires’ and it says it will expire in one day. 
What do I do to keep my original number?

Welcome to the Community!

Please could you try the below:

1)    Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
2)    Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
3)    Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct. 
4)    If it is not correct, please enter the correct number
5)    Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
6)    Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”

Have you tried a NETWORK RESET, @William Nelson

The handset user guide usually explains how to perform a network reset.

Hi @William Nelson, @andewhite is correct here. A network reset tends to fix that issue if the number isn’t saving. I’ve left instructions on how to do this below:

1) Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)

2) Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)

3) Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct.

4) If it is not correct, please enter the correct number

5) Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)

6) Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under "Start new conversations from:"

 

If you are having issues with step 4 please reset network settings and try again.

 

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
