I eventually got to chat on line with a person via the Facebook iD mobile chat line . The problem of retaining my old telephone number after my switch from 3 to iD has been actioned. My thanks go to the “human” on the chat line . The Bot chat line is useless and the route to getting help at iD is labyrinthian and needs sorting so that more direct and responsive help can be given without going through social media channels .
